Cristabel Clack

Cristabel Clack is a hometown girl born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. She grew up in a strong Christian household that helped shape her into the powerful worship leader she is today.

In her own words:

“I blame my parents! I was always singing somewhere: A wedding, a funeral, a church service. My sisters and brother and I couldn’t get away from it. I almost began to hate it, if I’m honest. But as I got older, I fell in love with, not the response of people, but the sweet presence of God. I couldn’t look at the crowd anyway. I had stage fright. I would sing with my eyes closed. I think I still do! I used to only sing if I knew my siblings were with me. Now, when I sing, I know God is with me.

If I had to sum up who I am in a word, it would have to be worship. I am worship! I was created for it, it’s what I love to do. I would feel lost without it. I just really love the Lord and I thoroughly enjoy His presence. My prayer and my passion is that people would experience the freedom in the presence of God that I feel every time I worship. I truly believe that everything we need is in the presence of God: Peace, love, joy, wisdom and understanding. It’s all there! And my favorite part is in knowing that I don’t have to wait until I walk into a building on a Sunday. I can feel God all week long! When we worship, we invoke the presence of God to meet us where we are.”

Cristabel became a nationally recognized contestant on one of America’s most successful television shows, American Idol in 2013.

“That was such an amazing journey, one that I would have never taken if I didn’t feel like God was leading me in that direction. It was never my desire to be a “star” or an “idol”, but God used it to really show me who I am and what He wanted to do with me. It was a major stretching and growing season. I didn’t quite know what it was all for until that season was over for me. It definitely shook me out of my comfort zone, but it was during that journey that the Lord taught me to worship with reckless abandon and I lost every fear of judgment or people’s opinions. I believe God uses uncomfortable situations to get you in a pliable state to get a yes out of you. For me, he used American Idol. And I wouldn’t be doing what I do, leading worship, nationally and internationally if it wasn’t for that season.”

Cristabel Clack is blissfully married to Brandon Clack, an anointed, powerhouse minister in his own right. Together they pastor Reformation Memphis. They have 4 beautiful children: Zion, Nyla, and Noah, and the late Zoey Moriah Clack.
